The 25th Anniversary Community Patch is a fan-made update for Star Wars: Rebellion that refreshes the game with content from the wider Star Wars universe. It is built on game version 1.02 and includes community fixes.

What it adds
* A new galaxy map of 200 planets, with a choice of two modes: one that keeps the original planet positions so that saved games and multiplayer stay compatible with the base game, and one with positions changed to be as accurate as possible. Saved games and multiplayer between the two are not compatible.
* New names for all 20 sectors, and 200 new planets with an encyclopedia entry each (picture, name, position, area, connections, geology, species, economy and history) and individual planet pictures, where the original game reused only 26 pictures for its 200 planets. See :Category:Patch sectors and :Category:Patch worlds.
* New pictures for 61 characters, and new encyclopedia entries for all 30 capital ships (picture, faction, full name, size, simple stats, builder and history). See :Category:Patch ships.
* New ship pictures and 3D models for the capital ships, new fighter pictures for 3D battles, pictures for most mission and event entries, and optional pictures that show base stats for troops, special forces, fighters, capital ships and characters.
* Sixteen higher-quality background music tracks, and updated DirectX libraries for better compatibility with current Windows.

Ship changes
The patch renames fifteen capital ships. For eight of them it also swaps the ship for a better-known design, and for the other seven it only changes the name. Comparing the patch's data with the original game data shows no change in any ship's figures.

Details
The patch lists its geology as planet, hot, arid, deserts, mesas and mountains. Its species are listed as Geonosian (native), Acklay, Massiff, Nexu and Reek. Its economy is listed as raw materials, battle droids and tech. It sits at grid reference R-16 and has 5 hyperlanes.

History
Geonosis undergoes major shifts to its political and military circumstances. It had played a key part in forming the Confederacy of Independent Systems, but after the Clone Wars its power and influence were largely drained. The Galactic Empire took the planet, imposed harsh rule, and converted its droid factories to Imperial purposes. Imperial occupation also brought more military installations, which tightened its grip. Even so, pockets of resistance survived, and some locals carried out secret operations to weaken Imperial control. The Geonosians, famed for engineering talent, were still exploited for their technical skill, and their formerly prosperous society struggled under occupation.
History
Socorro remains a vital gathering place for pirates, smugglers and outlaws, thanks to its distant position and lack of law. Its rough terrain suited anyone wanting to stay out of sight of Imperial and other authorities. As the Empire's war with the Rebel Alliance grew, Socorro grew into a still more valuable refuge for people hoping to profit from the disorder. Its residents, skilled at bargaining and trickery, kept playing every side of the conflict for their own gain, which secured Socorro's lasting name as a refuge for lawless types and illegal dealings.
Mon Gazza remains prominent for podracing and mining. While the Empire suffered setbacks, the planet's residents concentrated on their day-to-day lives and an economy driven mainly by podracing events and by pulling valuable resources from the ground. The larger galactic war did not directly disturb the local podracing scene, and residents kept relishing the excitement of the sport. Mon Gazza was not on the front line against the Empire, but its people stayed aware of the changing galaxy and adapted to events when needed.
Savareen keeps its image as a remote, secluded world. It had long served as a base for illegal activity, and it continued drawing people who wanted to work beyond the Galactic Empire's reach. When resistance to the Empire surged across the galaxy, its low profile occasionally made the planet a hideout for rebels along with other dissidents. Meanwhile, Savareen's inhabitants worked to endure the harsh environment and preserve their way of life, untouched by the wider galactic war and the power struggles that followed.
Nelvaan stays a fairly remote, isolated world. Its native people, the Nelvaanians, went on rebuilding their tribal society after being freed from the harsh presence of the Techno Union. Because the Galactic Empire concentrated on bigger, more strategic targets, Nelvaan was left in relative peace, and its people could keep their traditional lifestyle. Its renown for ancient wisdom and knowledge of the Force did bring an occasional visitor hoping to learn its secrets. Throughout the fighting between the Rebellion and the Galactic Empire, Nelvaan was mostly unaffected and preserved its distinctive culture and heritage.
While the fighting raged on, it remained an isolated outpost that attracted people looking for shelter from the worsening turmoil. Its lack of law and order drew many factions, and criminal organizations plus rogue elements treated the planet as a base. Despite this reputation, Lok stayed out of direct involvement in the greater war that set the Rebellion against the Empire. Its strategic position and its residents nonetheless gave it weight in the underworld, and many groups profited from illegal trade and black markets thriving there.
Tatooine is still a remote, thinly populated world distant from the galaxy's main fighting. Its arid desert and scarce resources made it unattractive to most, yet it kept drawing smugglers, bounty hunters, and others hoping to escape the Empire's notice. Its most notorious settlement, Mos Eisley, kept its standing as a squalid den of lowlifes and crime. Though the planet is bleak, it mattered greatly to key events, because a vital figure in the struggle against the Empire because a vital figure in the struggle against the Empire grew up there.
Christophsis went through a change in its politics. The Confederacy of Independent Systems had held it in the Clone Wars, then it enjoyed a short peace before the Galactic Empire subjugated it. As the Empire descended into disorder when the Death Star was lost, Christophsis took the chance to regain its independence. The planet has entered a phase of recovery and reconstruction. Its crystal cities, once devastated, are slowly being repaired, and residents worked on strengthening their defenses against future threats. Diplomacy was used to form alliances with other systems, encouraging cooperation and mutual support amid a galaxy in chaos. Christophsis has ultimately become a stronghold of resilience and hope, set on keeping its independence and shielding its people from outside forces that might try to exploit or subjugate them again.
As the galaxy's attention moved toward the growing war, Felucia lost strategic importance, which gave its people room to rebuild and strengthen their communities. Its varied and hardy ecosystem thrived and brought in researchers and naturalists who wanted to study and record its special features. In this peaceful time, the inhabitants gave priority to protecting their abundant natural resources and devised new ways to use their environment sustainably. As a result, Felucia gained a reputation as a haven of natural beauty and learning, welcoming visitors from throughout the galaxy who came for rest and inspiration among its green landscapes.
Ziost is still a mostly barren and desolate world, marked by its dark history as an ancient center of Sith power. The Sith Empire no longer ruled, but dark energy still present on Ziost kept attracting people hunting forbidden knowledge and anyone merely intrigued by the Dark Side. During the continuing war between Rebels and Imperials, the planet's past interested both camps, which watched for any sign of a Sith revival. Ziost's remoteness and hostile environment, though, acted as an effective deterrent and kept most of the galaxy's people away.
History
Mirial is living through a time of guarded hope. The Empire had controlled the planet, but the Death Star's destruction suggested a possible change in the direction of the galactic struggle. The people of Mirial, noted for mysticism and spiritual traditions, quietly backed the Rebel Alliance and offered help and shelter to those escaping Imperial oppression. Major battles did not center on the planet, but its inhabitants were an essential part of the hidden support network for the growing rebellion. In this era Mirial was a fairly peaceful and loyal ally in the struggle against the Empire.
Moraband, the ancient Sith homeworld also called Korriban, stays wrapped in mystery and darkness. Barren and unwelcoming, it was formerly the seat of Sith power and learning. Since the Sith were believed extinct, nobody much disturbed the planet. Ruins and ancient temples are scattered across it, yet few dared to travel there to hunt for lost Sith relics and lore. As the Empire took losses, Moraband mattered very little to the larger galactic conflict, and its secrets stayed buried in the bleak landscape, a reminder of a long-forgotten dark age.
History
Yavin Prime stays mostly undisturbed because it is a gas giant without a solid surface. Its main significance in this period was its closeness to Yavin 4, where the Rebel Alliance had its base. The Empire wanted revenge for the Death Star's destruction, and the Yavin system, Yavin Prime included, became a focus of its search. Still, the gas giant's hostile environment and absence of resources limited how much the broader war affected it, so it remained relatively untouched by the continuing fighting.
Rhen Var is still a remote, desolate planet with a freezing climate. The world is rich in history, known for the old Jedi ruins and relics that drew archaeologists and historians hoping to discover their secrets. Though Rhen Var had no strategic value, its isolation and severe conditions suited people who wanted to hide or carry out clandestine activities. In this period several factions made use of it as a short-lived base or rendezvous, relying on its distance to stay under the radar of the major powers.
Maridun remains a mostly peaceful, faraway world. It is chiefly noted for wide grasslands and varied terrain, and it stayed out of direct involvement in the Empire's war against the Rebel Alliance. Residents of Maridun, the pacifist Lurmen and others among them, concentrated on keeping their traditions and protecting their distinctive culture. The planet's isolation gave some shelter from galactic turmoil, but the inhabitants stayed watchful and careful, since the spreading war could swallow even the most remote worlds. Maridun's history in this era was defined by a firm devotion to peace and neutrality.
Manaan keeps its position as a neutral world, profiting from its command of the precious medicinal substance kolto. The Selkath, who govern the planet, kept selling and distributing kolto to different factions across the galaxy, which brought in large revenue and let them stay neutral. Even during the war, Manaan's leaders concentrated on protecting their sovereignty, rigorously upholding neutrality and guarding their resource against outside threats. Its special position left the world mostly spared from the wider galaxy's troubles and made it a refuge for people fleeing the disorder.
History
Daalang took in a flood of refugees fleeing the continuing war. Its government tried to remain neutral but struggled to house the sudden surge in residents. Crime syndicates started to flourish, bringing more smuggling and black market trade. Friction between natives and new arrivals led to civil disorder and the occasional clash. With the wider war persisting, Daalang turned into a center of spying and covert operations, as different factions tried to win its loyalty or exploit its resources for their ends.
Milagro is passing through an era of upheaval. The Imperial war on the Rebel Alliance reached this distant world, and military forces in the region increased. Imperial control of the planet prompted the formation of several resistance movements aiming to return freedom and self-rule to Milagro's citizens. Milagro is mainly agricultural, but its valuable resources and strategic position made both sides want it. Its people grew more resolved to oppose Imperial oppression, adding to the wider fight for freedom across the galaxy.
Pasaana remains a distant desert world that the Empire's war with the Rebel Alliance largely left undisturbed. The Aki-Aki natives kept their traditional lifestyle and held their bright, lively Festival of the Ancestors once every 42 years. The festival showed the resilience of the Aki-Aki and their cultural identity despite their isolation. While the rest of the galaxy was caught up in a turbulent struggle, Pasaana and its residents stayed relatively secluded, absorbed in their own customs and their planet's distinctive environment.
Vandor remains a remote and thinly populated world with a small but lasting presence. Its icy, mountainous terrain is dangerous, and the planet drew outlaws and others escaping the galaxy's conflicts. Demand dropped for the infamous coaxium mines, a valuable source of fuel, because of the changing galactic situation. The region's importance and its potential for exploitation shrank as a result. Even so, Vandor's inhabitants kept trying to survive in the severe climate and to keep out of notice during the ongoing power struggles.
Gamor, a world marked by strife and power struggles, grew even more turbulent of late. Because the Empire was preoccupied with the intensifying galactic war, assorted factions on Gamor competed for control, and skirmishes and political scheming among the locals increased. In this time the world became a center of intrigue and espionage, with groups trying to take advantage of the power vacuum and secure their positions. While the greater galactic struggle played out, Gamor's people carried on their own internal fights, making alliances and betraying each other in a tangled web of changing loyalties. The unending conflict left a lasting mark on the world's history and gave it a legacy as a focal point of discord and ambition.
The Galactic Empire and the Rebellion each took a growing interest in Chardaan. The Empire aimed to impose its authority and crush dissent, whereas the Rebellion sought a presence there to resist Imperial oppression. The planet turned into a theater of political and military contest, marked by many skirmishes plus secret operations on the surface. Its population divided in the turmoil, part supporting the Empire and part the Rebellion. Local resistance cells arose from the unrest, escalating tensions still more. In spite of the hardship, the people living there opposed Imperial rule and joined various resistance factions to fight the oppressive regime. The continuing fight for Mimban turned the planet into a battleground for clashes pitting Imperial forces against the Rebel Alliance. == History ==
Shili remains relatively untouched by the larger galactic war. Its proud, resourceful people kept their traditions and culture, mostly undisturbed by the wider events in the galaxy. Because the planet is remote and strategically worthless, neither Imperial nor Rebel forces targeted it. Shili's residents instead concentrated on internal affairs, protecting how they lived through the turbulent times. Thus, even though the loss of the Death Star had far-reaching effects, Shili persisted in comparative peace and stability.
Brentaal IV, an important center of trade and commerce, experienced major changes after a decisive event in the galaxy. The Galactic Empire had governed it, but power shifted as the Rebel Alliance built momentum. The shift altered the political situation and the alliances there, and instability grew. When the Empire tried to regain its grip, local resistance movements appeared and slowly joined the larger fight against the oppressive regime. With tension mounting, residents faced an uncertain future as various factions competed for influence and authority. In spite of the unrest, Brentaal IV stayed a significant hub for trade, communications, and finance.
Esseles, a significant world with a heavy bureaucratic presence, was caught up in the recent changes in the balance of power. The Empire, working to hold onto power, stepped up its efforts to compel obedience and discipline on key planets such as Esseles. That meant tighter security and attempts to suppress any sign of dissent among residents. The Rebel Alliance, aware of Esseles' strategic worth, in turn set out to weaken Imperial authority there. The era was shadowed by tension, as residents balanced public obedience against hidden resistance. Secret operations and spying were central to what happened on Esseles, with both factions contending for influence over what the planet would become.
Palanhi retains its reputation as a financial and commercial hub. == History ==
Skako Minor continues to prosper as home to the Techno Union, a group noted for engineering and manufacturing skill. That group lost influence after the Clone Wars, yet the planet's skilled labor force stayed in demand. Skako Minor kept some independence and was shielded from the broad war that involved the Rebel Alliance and the Empire. Its people went on developing and improving their technology, and their isolation let them keep their own culture and customs peacefully, free from the larger galactic fight.
Sissubo goes on existing in relative obscurity. It is neither strategically placed nor a center of interstellar trade, so major galactic events left it alone. Nobody interfered with its inhabitants, and isolation let them keep their distinctive culture and traditions free of outside meddling. Since neither Imperial nor Rebel forces came into direct conflict with them, Sissubo's residents could concentrate on internal matters and preserve their way of life through the galaxy's upheaval. Sissubo accordingly stayed calm and stable in this period.
Mon Mothma, a key Alliance figure, was born on Chandrila, a world noted for its scenic beauty and tranquil landscapes. It is now a symbol of hope and defiance while the Alliance worked to bring down a tyrannical regime. Hanna City, the planet's capital, held significant diplomatic conferences that helped determine the galaxy's future. Chandrila was also used as a temporary seat by the government of the New Republic, which gave the world considerable sway in galactic politics. Enemy forces targeted Chandrila, but its resilient spirit and devotion to peace and democracy lasted.
Zakuul keeps its standing as a fairly unknown, cut-off world. The Eternal Empire that once governed it had been dissolved long before, leaving Zakuul mostly detached from galactic events. Its inhabitants therefore turned to internal concerns and to rebuilding their society. The Death Star affair and the clash pitting the Galactic Empire against the Rebel Alliance barely affected Zakuul, whose seclusion kept it mostly clear of the broader galactic struggles.
The Chiss knew that the Rebellion and the Empire were at war, but they chose to watch from a distance and put the safety of their own territory first. Ahch-To is a distant place in the galaxy that many different people have lived on throughout history. Its earliest past is poorly documented, but it housed a religious order that revered old Jedi writings. More recently it hosted a prominent individual in exile, someone who wanted to withdraw from the galaxy as a whole. Even though it is remote, assorted galactic factions stayed interested in Ahch-To and tried to discover the secrets within its ancient structures.
History
Exegol, a distant and enigmatic world, was mostly spared the direct fallout from the Death Star's destruction. Wrapped in secrecy, it kept existing at the edge of known space, far from the galaxy's main conflicts. Little is therefore known about what happened there during this time or about its inhabitants. While the larger war raged, its isolation left it mostly undisturbed. Its obscurity and distance, however, left its part in the galaxy's unfolding events unclear, and its influence might emerge later.
