'''Yavin''' is a star system in the [[Sumitra sector]] of ''[[Star Wars: Rebellion]]''. It is a gas giant in an Outer Rim territory of the same name. Its fourth moon housed a Rebel base during the Battle of Yavin.<ref name="ency" />

== In the game ==
Yavin is a Rim system.<ref name="ency" /><ref name="gdata" /> Its sector is used in every galaxy size.<ref name="galaxy" /><ref name="manual-galaxy" /> The 25th Anniversary patch puts a different world, '''Yavin 4''', in this system's place.<ref name="patch" />

Yavin always begins the game 100 percent loyal to the Alliance.<ref name="manual-p22" /> Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Jan Dodonna and Wedge Antilles start there.<ref name="manual-p37" /> The manual warns that the Empire is likely to strike back at Yavin soon, and advises moving key characters away or building up its defenses.<ref name="manual-p67" />
