== History ==
Manaan keeps its position as a neutral world, profiting from its command of the precious medicinal substance kolto. The Selkath, who govern the planet, kept selling and distributing kolto to different factions across the galaxy, which brought in large revenue and let them stay neutral. Even during the war, Manaan's leaders concentrated on protecting their sovereignty, rigorously upholding neutrality and guarding their resource against outside threats. Its special position left the world mostly spared from the wider galaxy's troubles and made it a refuge for people fleeing the disorder.<ref name="patch" />
