== History ==
Commenor underwent major political and social change. It started out under Imperial rule and was strategically placed near major hyperspace routes. Its citizens, famed for technical skill, had a name for staying neutral and independent. Once the Death Star was destroyed, the planet's leaders pulled away from the Empire and quietly assisted the young Rebel Alliance. When the Galactic Civil War grew fiercer, Commenor turned into an important location for intelligence work and covert operations. Hidden networks and safe houses were set up then, easing the flow of vital supplies and information to the Rebel Alliance. The Empire tried to reassert its authority, but the people held firm in resistance and ended up playing a decisive part in the gradual change in who held power throughout the galaxy.<ref name="patch" />
