Zakuul keeps its standing as a fairly unknown, cut-off world. The Eternal Empire that once governed it had been dissolved long before, leaving Zakuul mostly detached from galactic events. Its inhabitants therefore turned to internal concerns and to rebuilding their society. The Death Star affair and the clash pitting the Galactic Empire against the Rebel Alliance barely affected Zakuul, whose seclusion kept it mostly clear of the broader galactic struggles.<ref name="patch" /><br />
