The Immobilizer Cruiser is the name the 25th Anniversary Community Patch gives to the Interdictor Cruiser, a Empire capital ship in Star Wars: Rebellion.[1] The ship keeps its original game data, so its figures are the same as on the original page.[2]
In the patch
The patch describes it as the Immobilizer 418 Cruiser and lists its length as 600 meters. The patch names its builder as Sienar Fleet Systems.[1]
History
Commonly called the Interdictor, the Immobilizer 418 gained notoriety for generating gravity wells that blocked hyperspace travel nearby. It played a critical part in Galactic Empire strategy, especially once the Death Star had been destroyed. By trapping Rebel ships, it kept them from fleeing or from bringing in reinforcements through hyperspace, and so it became a key asset for blockades and ambushes. This technology was a major advance in galactic warfare that changed how space engagements unfolded and demonstrated the Empire's steady military innovation.[1]
