Bespin is a world in the Western Reaches sector of the 25th Anniversary Community Patch for Star Wars: Rebellion.[1] In the patch it fills the map slot that holds Derra IV in the original game.[2]
Details
The patch lists its geology as gas giant. Its species are listed as Human and Ugnaught. Its economy is listed as tibanna. It sits at grid reference K-18 and has 3 hyperlanes.[1]
History
Bespin, famous for Cloud City, was a major site for mining and refining tibanna gas. Lando Calrissian, the Baron Administrator of Cloud City, tried to preserve the city's independence and wealth. The authoritarian regime, however, took notice of the strategically valuable site and raised its military presence there. Calrissian responded by negotiating and maneuvering through the city's politics, and ended up allied with the regime, though not comfortably. Throughout this, local Ugnaught workers kept performing their essential function in running the city, helping to extract and refine the precious tibanna gas.[1]
