Kashyyyk is a world in the Crossroads sector of the 25th Anniversary Community Patch for Star Wars: Rebellion.[1] In the patch it fills the map slot that holds Dantooine in the original game.[2]

Details

The patch lists its geology as planet, temperate, forests, jungles, mountains, oceans and swamps. Its species are listed as Wookiee (native). Its economy is listed as processed metals and electronic components. It sits at grid reference P-9 and has 6 hyperlanes.[1]

History

Kashyyyk is still held by the Empire, and its native Wookiees are subjected to brutal treatment and compulsory work. The planet's dense forests and prized resources made it a strategic prize for the Empire. The Wookiees, however, were resilient and set on winning back their freedom, and this drove a growing resistance. In secret they struck up alliances with the Rebel Alliance, passing along vital intelligence and supplies in a joint effort against their oppressors. During the Galactic Civil War, Kashyyyk became an emblem of the fight for freedom and displayed the bravery and persistence of its people despite hardship.[1]
