History

Nexus Ortai took only minimal part in galactic affairs, which let it keep a low profile amid the chaos that followed the Empire's devastating defeat. It was never directly drawn into the fighting between the Alliance and the surviving Imperial forces, so it stayed a quiet and fairly stable location. Even though it is isolated, Nexus Ortai offered sanctuary to people looking to flee the greater upheaval around them, and it also sheltered individuals engaged in secretive or sensitive work.^[1]
