Esseles is a world in the Core Worlds North sector of the 25th Anniversary Community Patch for Star Wars: Rebellion.[1] In the patch it fills the map slot that holds Ghorman in the original game.[2]
Details
The patch lists its geology as planet, temperate, urban and ocean. Its species are listed as Bothan, Herglic and Human. Its economy is listed as high tech, starships, food and raw materials. It sits at grid reference L-9 and has 0 hyperlanes.[1]
History
Esseles, a significant world with a heavy bureaucratic presence, was caught up in the recent changes in the balance of power. The Empire, working to hold onto power, stepped up its efforts to compel obedience and discipline on key planets such as Esseles. That meant tighter security and attempts to suppress any sign of dissent among residents. The Rebel Alliance, aware of Esseles' strategic worth, in turn set out to weaken Imperial authority there. The era was shadowed by tension, as residents balanced public obedience against hidden resistance. Secret operations and spying were central to what happened on Esseles, with both factions contending for influence over what the planet would become.[1]
