Y-wing is an Alliance starfighter in Star Wars: Rebellion. The in-game encyclopedia describes the older, twin-engine Y-wing as still seeing a lot of action in the Alliance fleet. It mounts a turreted laser cannon and an ion cannon, and has heavier armor. This makes it a good choice for heavy assault missions.[1]
In the game
Each Y-wing squadron costs 5 refined materials to build and 4 to maintain. It has a shield strength of 5 and a hyperdrive.[1] The infobox values come from the game data.[2] The 25th Anniversary Community Patch does not change them.[3]
The manual separately warns not to confuse Longprobe Y-wing Recon Teams, a special forces unit, with Y-wing fighters, which are a type of ship.[4]
