TIE Fighter is an Imperial starfighter in Star Wars: Rebellion. The in-game encyclopedia says the majority of the Imperial starfighter corps is made up of TIE fighters. This small craft lacks life support, shield generators, and a hyperdrive, which keeps production costs low enough for mass numbers. Its weaponry amounts to two laser cannons fixed beneath the pilot's control pod.[1]
In the game
Each TIE Fighter squadron costs 3 refined materials to build and 3 to maintain. It has a shield strength of 0 and no hyperdrive.[1] The infobox values come from the game data.[2] The 25th Anniversary Community Patch does not change them.[3]
The manual advises filling a fleet to capacity with TIE fighters, with spares in case some are lost in battle. It also notes that TIE fighters can defend the system where they are stationed.[4]
