Chewbacca is an Alliance minor character in Star Wars: Rebellion. According to the in-game encyclopedia, Chewbacca is a Wookiee from Kashyyyk, standing two meters in height. When the Empire took Kashyyyk and classed Wookiees as slaves, he was sold into slavery. Han Solo, then a young Imperial officer, eventually freed him, giving up his own career to rescue the Wookiee. Chewbacca believed he owed Solo a life debt and has stuck close to Solo since. The two took up smuggling and shady dealings for assorted crime lords, Jabba the Hutt among them. Chewbacca also serves as first mate of the freighter Millennium Falcon, which he keeps in working order.[1]
In the game
Chewbacca cannot serve as an admiral, a general or a commander. The game data marks Chewbacca as unable to betray the Alliance. The infobox values come from the game data.[2] The 25th Anniversary Community Patch does not change them.[3]
Chewbacca starts the game on Yavin as a core Alliance character.[4] He automatically tries to rescue Han Solo if bounty hunters capture him.[5]
