Duro is a world in the Core Worlds South sector of the 25th Anniversary Community Patch for Star Wars: Rebellion.[1] In the patch it fills the map slot that holds Ando in the original game.[2]

Details

The patch lists its geology as planet, temperate, toxic and jungle. Its species are listed as Duro (native), Human and Rodian. Its economy is listed as food, labor, ore, high tech, starships and starships parts. It sits at grid reference M-11 and has 3 hyperlanes.[1]

History

The Duros, famed for starship engineering, became more deeply drawn into the galactic struggle, and many of them worked for both sides. As the Galactic Empire expanded its reach, Duro endured tighter control and exploitation, and its formerly prosperous cities turned into heavily fortified Imperial strongholds. Native Duros chafed under harsh Imperial rule, set up resistance groups, and quietly aided the Rebel Alliance with useful intelligence and supplies. At the same time, the Death Star's destruction raised demand for sophisticated technology and capable pilots, which fed a growing underground market in Duro-built starships and expert pilots. Duro's history in these years was marked by an ever wider split between supporters of the Empire and those who fought for freedom alongside the Rebellion.[1]
