Anoat is a world in the Western Reaches sector of the 25th Anniversary Community Patch for Star Wars: Rebellion.[1] In the patch it fills the map slot that holds Munto Codru in the original game.[2]

Details

The patch lists its geology as planet, polluted, toxic and urban. Its species are listed as Human and Ugnauht. Its economy is listed as food, raw materials and industrial goods. It sits at grid reference K-18 and has 2 hyperlanes.[1]

History

Anoat was formerly a prosperous mining center and now faces serious difficulties. The Empire enforced a strict blockade, called the Iron Blockade, that severed trade and communications links to the remainder of the galaxy. The aim was to head off possible uprisings, but the blockade unintentionally encouraged the growth of criminal factions, which unsettled the region further. Resourceful people such as smugglers and mercenaries found ways around it and kept working, which fed a growing black market. Desperate residents formed a loose alliance against Imperial control, but rivalries between the factions weakened it. When the Empire tightened its hold on the region, tensions rose, and Anoat's future is uncertain.[1]
