Revision as of 08:00, 23 October 2026
Emperor Palpatine is an Imperial major character in Star Wars: Rebellion. The in-game encyclopedia calls Emperor Palpatine the ultimate power in the Empire, even though he looks aged and frail. He formed the Empire and named himself Emperor after the Old Republic Senate fell. Under his direction, the Empire has nearly conquered the known galaxy. Palpatine is a true master of the dark side of the Force and trained Darth Vader in it. The full extent of his powers is not yet known.[1]
In the game
Emperor Palpatine cannot serve as an admiral, a general or a commander. The game data marks Emperor Palpatine as unable to betray the Empire. The infobox values come from the game data.[2] The 25th Anniversary Community Patch does not change them.[3]
Emperor Palpatine always starts the game on Coruscant.[4] Capturing and holding him and Darth Vader is the Alliance's victory condition.[5] While he is on Coruscant itself, uncaptured, and Coruscant is under Imperial control, all Imperial characters get a leadership bonus.[6] If Luke Skywalker meets him and is not captured, Luke's Force abilities rise, and the Final Battle can bring Luke before him.[7]
