The Facility Design Research mission is one of three research and development missions in Star Wars: Rebellion.[1] The character contributes to developing new facilities for the sending side.[2]

Requirements

Sending the character requires a friendly system holding a construction yard, and the character needs facility design research ability.[2][3] A character's status screen shows which research areas the character covers.[1]

Result

Success depends on the character's attributes.[2] The manual gives improved construction yards as an example payoff, since facilities then take less time to build. Every facility you control also nudges research in the area it belongs to, but a character on the mission makes it much faster. A new technology is announced by the message droid and is available at once.[4] The character keeps asking whether to continue until all possible discoveries have been made.[5]
