Damaged ships are capital ships (and fighter squadrons) in Star Wars: Rebellion that have taken harm from combat or from planetary defenses.[1]

Causes and appearance

A ship can be damaged in direct battle, or by planetary batteries firing from a system's surface.[1][2] Damaged ships are shown with burn marks, and the battle results screen uses the same marks to flag ships that survived but are damaged.[1][3] The Status window of a ship shows exactly which systems are damaged (see Building ships).[4]

Fighter squadrons

Each fighter squadron holds 12 fighters. A damaged fighter icon means starfighters have been lost, and the Status option on a damaged fighter icon shows how many remain.[1]

Repair

Repairs happen when the ship is stationed in orbit around a system that has an Orbital Shipyard. Ships are not repaired while in hyperspace.[1] Damage taken during a tactical battle is a separate matter: ship systems there repair slowly during the battle.[5]
