History

Takodana is still a favored meeting point for pirates, traders, and travelers from every corner of the galaxy. Its strategic position and green forests kept drawing a varied crowd, turning it into a busy center of trade and bargaining. The notorious watering hole at Maz Kanata's castle endured as a place where factions and individuals gathered to find shelter or do business. Takodana stayed neutral ground through the war that pitted the Empire against the Rebel Alliance, which gave it some stability and independence in an unpredictable galaxy.[1]
