Mon Cala is a world in the Tingel Arm sector of the 25th Anniversary Community Patch for Star Wars: Rebellion.[1] In the patch it fills the map slot that holds Valrar in the original game.[2]
Details
The patch lists its geology as planet, temperate and ocean. Its species are listed as Mon Calamari (native), Quarren (native), Whaladon (native) and Amphi-Hydrus (native). Its economy is listed as food, medicine, tech, seafood, high tech, starships and weapons. It sits at grid reference U-6 and has 4 hyperlanes.[1]
History
Mon Cala experiences a rush of hope and a resolve to resist the Empire. The Mon Calamari, who make up the planet's main inhabitants, had a record of friction with the Empire because they wanted liberty and self-rule. When the Death Star was destroyed, they pledged more of their resources to the Alliance and gave the rebellion advanced starships, among them the Mon Calamari cruisers. Such vessels turned into a vital element of the Rebel fleet, so Mon Cala contributed greatly to the Alliance's achievements. The planet's unwavering dedication strengthened the rebellion's will to contest Imperial dominance.[1]
