History
Gerrenthum, a fairly obscure world, is seeing major change. It gained strategic value as the Galactic Empire worked to strengthen its hold on the galaxy. The Empire set up a military presence, built installations and enlisted locals to swell its ranks. The inhabitants, who until then had had relative independence, grew tense and restless. Resistance movements started to form, and some citizens united against the harsh Imperial regime. Secret operations and sabotage aimed at undermining Imperial influence produced an unstable balance of power. Throughout the period Gerrenthum stayed a significant scene of continuing conflict and intrigue as several factions competed for control.[1]
