History

Crait rose to prominence as a concealed Rebellion base. The world is remote and almost uninhabited, with extensive salt flats and a web of underground caves. The Rebels converted a disused mine into a secret outpost that served as a short-term command post for their campaign against the Empire. Eventually they moved elsewhere and Crait was abandoned once more. Its historical importance still attracted scholars and collectors, and many people hunted for relics of the Rebel stay, such as artifacts and equipment they had used.^[1]
