Yavin is a star system in the Sumitra sector of Star Wars: Rebellion. It is a gas giant in an Outer Rim territory of the same name. Its fourth moon housed a Rebel base during the Battle of Yavin.[1]
In the game
Yavin is a Rim system.[1][2] Its sector is used in every galaxy size.[3][4] The 25th Anniversary patch puts a different world, Yavin 4, in this system's place.[5]
Yavin always begins the game 100 percent loyal to the Alliance.[6] Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Jan Dodonna and Wedge Antilles start there.[7] The manual warns that the Empire is likely to strike back at Yavin soon, and advises moving key characters away or building up its defenses.[8]
