History

Formos is still a refuge for outlaws, smugglers, and other members of the galactic underworld. The era's upheaval offered plenty of openings for anyone ready to profit from disorder, and Formos became a leading site for illegal trade and black market deals. Despite that reputation, it also helped move information and resources among factions, since its residents held useful knowledge and contacts. Formos therefore occupied a distinctive place in the galaxy, serving both as a hub of criminal business and as a channel for intelligence important to the fight against the Empire.^[1]
