History

Carida, home to a renowned Imperial Academy, became a major concern for the empire. After the Death Star was lost, Carida saw more military training and manufacturing. The elite Stormtroopers and the the officers who trained at the Academy are central to the Empire's hold over the galaxy. In these years the Empire fortified Carida heavily and made it a fortress for its troops. The Academy's standing rose, drawing some of the sharpest minds and most capable fighters from across the galaxy. New technologies and strategies emerged there, and many experimental projects were carried out on the surface, adding to the planet's importance. The Empire tried to keep control, but the Rebel Alliance and the Empire would in time fight over Carida. What lies ahead for it depends on how these continuing conflicts, and the wider fight for freedom, turn out.[1]
