Dantooine is a world in the Outer Rim North sector of the 25th Anniversary Community Patch for Star Wars: Rebellion.[1] In the patch it fills the map slot that holds Despayre in the original game.[2]
Details
The patch lists its geology as planet, temperate, lush forests, grasslands, hills, mountains, oceans, great lakes and rivers. Its species are listed as Human. Its economy is listed as tech, luxury and food. It sits at grid reference L-4 and has 4 hyperlanes.[1]
History
The Rebel Alliance used Dantooine as a base from which to direct its operations against the Empire. Because the planet was distant and capable of sustaining life, it suited the Rebels as a place to lie low and plan. That same role drew Imperial forces to it, since they wanted the Rebel presence removed. Dantooine nevertheless stayed an essential site for the Alliance in its struggle with the Empire.[1]
