History

Neimoidia is losing prominence as the Trade Federation weakens. It was the native planet of the Neimoidians, who were central to how the Trade Federation ran. As the Galactic Empire kept consolidating its power, the Trade Federation was dissolved, and Neimoidia and its people had to cope with a changed political situation. Many Neimoidians lost their fortunes and standing, and some survived by turning to crime or joining other factions. Neimoidia endured regardless, adjusting to shifting circumstances as the fight between the Rebellion and the Galactic Empire went on.^[1]
