History

Thyferra remains an important world because it produces bacta, an essential medicinal substance. That product turned the planet into a prize that several factions fought to control the distribution of bacta from. Two corporations that manufacture bacta, Zaltin and Xucphra, governed Thyferra and rivaled each other without mercy. Even amid the strife, the planet kept supplying bacta, which saved countless lives throughout the galaxy and preserved Thyferra's weight in events.^[1]
