The Sabotage mission is a mission in Star Wars: Rebellion that destroys a facility, capital ship or other unit.[1]

Targets and participants

The encyclopedia says one unit is targeted in an enemy or neutral system.[1] The manual lists enemy facilities, capital ships, fighter squadrons, trooper regiments and SpecForces; the target must be finished and out of hyperspace. Anything a manufacturing facility can produce qualifies. The Empire can also sabotage the Alliance headquarters.[2] A Death Star cannot be targeted this way and requires a Death Star Sabotage mission.[2] Bothan Spies cannot perform it and so cannot serve as decoys on it.[3]

Skill and result

Both the espionage and combat ratings of the characters count, along with the special forces on the team.[1] The manual suggests that a heavily defended system may call for preliminary Espionage or Sabotage missions to remove its planetary defenses before an attack.[4] Sabotage can also injure characters who are aboard a ship that is destroyed.[5]
